INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY

Welcome to Eildon Road Childcare and Kindergarten (ERCK). The Centre is a not-for-profit parent managed, community based Long Day Care and Kindergarten service.  When it was initially established in 1988, the Centre was funded as part of a Federal/State government initiative to develop community-based childcare. ERCK is proud of its continuing community focus.

ERCK provides care for Children of families living and working in the City of Port Phillip. The centre offers full-time and part-time care for children aged from 8 weeks up to and including school age and is licensed to accept 44 children each day. the centre runs a fully funded 3–4-year-old kindergarten program in an integrated long day care setting. This program is operated by two Bachelor trained educators and ensures all children receives the free funded 15 hours kindergarten program as allocated by the government.

Our centre is one of a hand full of small community focused centres in the inner city. ERCK provides ‘family grouping’ in the mornings and afternoons, which allows the children to experience a multi aged learning environment.
